Your Guide to Brewing Better Coffee at Home

Brewing doesn’t need to be complicated.
These are the same recipes we use in our cafés and training sessions….balanced, consistent, and designed for flavour. Choose your method below and follow the simple ratios, grind settings, and timing notes.
Espresso
Ratio: 1:2 (18 g → 36 g)
Grind: Fine
Brew Time: 25–32 sec
Steps:
Dose & distribute.
Tamp level.
Pull shot to 1:2 ratio.
Adjust grind based on taste.
French Press
Ratio: 1:15 (30 g → 450 ml)
Grind: Coarse
Brew Time: 4 min
Steps:
Add coffee & water.
Stir at 1 min.
Steep 4 min.
Press gently & serve.
Moka Pot
Ratio: Full basket
Grind: Medium-fine
Brew Time: Until light sputter
Steps:
Fill base with hot water.
Add coffee (no tamp).
Brew on medium heat.
Remove once flow lightens.
V60 Pour-Over
Ratio: 1:15–1:16 (20 g → 300–320 ml)
Grind: Medium-fine
Brew Time: 3–3.5 min
Steps:
Rinse filter.
Bloom 30–45 sec.
Pour in stages.
Finish by 3–3.5 min.
AeroPress
Ratio: 1:15 (15 g → 225 ml)
Grind: Medium-fine
Brew Time: ~2 min
Steps:
Add coffee & water.
Stir 10 sec.
Press slowly.
Total ~2 min.
